Primary Duties:

  • Operating buses to transport passengers on scheduled or unscheduled routes
  • Inspecting and monitoring vehicle condition
  • Preparing various accident, incident and vehicle condition reports as required
  • Performing maintenance work on vehicles, shelters, bus stops and property as required

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma, or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid 'CZ' endorsed Driver's Licence for the Province of Ontario
  • Previous transit experience would be beneficial
  • Must be reliable and pleasant with previous experience working with the public preferred

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Under the direction of the Manager of Revenue and Taxation, this position is responsible for processing and reconciliation of customer payments and providing customer service.

EDUCATION/SPECIALIZED TRAINING/SKILLS:

Essential (minimum) Qualifications:

  • Two year diploma in Accounting from a Community College
  • Demonstrated Experience in cash handling
  • Demonstrated Experience with Microsoft Office applications with strong proficiency in Excel and Word

Asset (preferred) Qualifications:

  • Municipal Tax Administration Course
  • Strong written communication skills to respond at a professional level with external and internal customers
  • Strong verbal communication skills to interact courteously with internal and external  customers both by telephone and in-person
  • Strong conflict resolution & interpersonal skills to resolve rate payers issues
  • Knowledge of & demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer service, communication, self-management
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in dealing with customers and team members regarding confidential matters
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and handle multiple interruptions

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Essential (minimum) Qualifications:

  • Two to three years accounting experience in a municipal office

Asset (preferred) Qualifications:

  • Municipal Property Tax experience

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Senior IS Project Supervisor’s role is to plan, design, develop, coordinate and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.

EDUCATION/SPECIALIZED TRAINING/SKILLS:

Essential (minimum) Qualifications:

  • Two (2) year College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems
  • A valid “G” driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to remote sites.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Essential (minimum) Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years’ work experience with a focus on business system analysis, support, implementation and upgrade.
  • Demonstrated Knowledge and working experience with the following Operating systems: Windows XP, 7,8,10, Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012.

Asset (preferred) Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
  • Demonstrated previous project management experience.
  • Extensive practical knowledge in importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts
