
The upcoming Oct. 24 Municipal Election is approaching quickly and the City of Belleville would like to review the necessary protocols residents will need to follow to cast their vote.
The City of Belleville is offering an alternative voting method for 2022 being the INTERNET AND TELEPHONE METHOD ONLY. These options allow you to vote from anywhere that has internet access or by using your touch tone phone or cell phone. The following resources are in place to ensure eligible voters are able to confirm they are registered to vote and then do so by following these convenient procedures.
Voter Assistance Centres will be located at:
Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre, 265 Cannifton Rd., Belleville
Thurlow Community Centre, 516 Harmony Rd., Corbyville
Revisions to the Voters’ List
Those eligible to vote can visit one of the above locations on Sept. 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21 or 22 between the hours of noon and 6 p.m. to make an application to amend the voters’ list. This can also be done at Belleville City Hall, 169 Front St. Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from now until Oct. 24.
Voter Information Letters
Voter information letters will be mailed to eligible electors who appear on the voters’ list in early October. If you do not receive a voter notification letter by Oct. 12, please visit one of the Voter Assistance Centre locations on Oct. 18, 19, 21 and 22 during the hours of noon to 6 p.m. to be added to the voters’ list if required. This can also be done at City Hall 169 Front St. Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from now until Oct. 24.
Internet and Telephone Voting:
Begins Monday, Oct. 11, 2022 at 10 a.m. and ends Monday, Oct. 24, 2022 at 8 p.m.
Voter Assistance Centres with Voting Kiosks for Internet Voting and Processing Revisions to the Voters’ List:
Eligible electors can visit one of the above locations on Oct. 18, 19, 21 and 22 during the hours of noon to 6 p.m. to be added to the voters’ list if required and to cast their ballot electronically on equipment supplied by the City of Belleville.
Voting Day:
Eligible electors can visit one of the above locations on Oct. 24 between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. to be added to the voters’ list if required and to cast their ballot electronically on equipment supplied by the City of Belleville.
