As part of its annual Festival of Lights program and seasonal celebrations, the City of Belleville will remove select trees from local private properties to place and light in strategic locations throughout the City during the upcoming holiday season.
Residents or businesses that have a 24’ (7.4 meters) or higher spruce tree on their property that they would like to donate are asked submit the information online at the link below before Friday, Sept. 30 at 4:30 p.m.

After receiving your submission, City staff will inspect the tree and, if deemed suitable for the seasonal tree program, will arrange for its removal at no cost to the land owner. These trees will be installed at various public locations around the city.
Tree removal equipment will be required to access the donated tree so trees on a side street or in the side yard are usually the most suitable for this purpose.
After the holiday season, these donated trees will be chipped and used as mulch in the City’s ongoing park program.
The lighting display installation will begin after Thanksgiving in the Jane Forrester Park on Harbour Drive.
