Airport Parkway Culvert Replacement to Begin This Month

The City of Belleville has contracted Fidelity Engineering and Construction Inc. to complete the Airport Parkway Culvert Replacement project, with construction set to begin this month. 

Work will include: 

• Removal of the existing culvert structure
• Installation of a new precast concrete box culvert and retaining walls
• New paving and steel beam guide rail installation 

Construction is anticipated to be complete by winter 2026. 

Airport Parkway will generally remain open to vehicles and pedestrians throughout construction; however, traffic disruptions and detours will be required at various stages of the project. Two weekend road closures are anticipated, with advance notice to be provided ahead of each closure. 

The contractor will notify affected residents and businesses in advance of traffic disruptions, where required to facilitate the work. Appropriate traffic control signage will be in place throughout construction.
