Belleville Santa Claus Parade is Coming to Town with a New Route and Date

The City of Belleville is looking forward to the start of the holiday season with the Belleville Nighttime Santa Claus Parade. This annual tradition brings the community together with festive lights, music, floats and family fun. Adjustments have been made for this year’s parade route and date.

For 2026, the parade will take place Sunday, Nov. 22 at 4 p.m. The route will now travel along North Front St. and Pinnacle St., beginning at King George Sq. and ending at Bridge St. East.

The change of date aligns with the official holiday launch of the Festival of Lights beginning Friday, Nov. 20. The previous route on Bridge St. from Sidney St. to Herchimer Ave. is unavailable this year due to ongoing construction projects.

More information about road closures and detours will be announced in the coming weeks.

“The Santa Claus Parade is an annual staple for our community, it kicks off the holiday season and adds extra joy to our city,” says Fire Chief and Director of Fire and Emergency Services Dan Smith on behalf of all local emergency services. “While construction projects have impeded the previous parade route, Emergency Services personnel have worked closely with City staff to determine a new route to continue the tradition of the parade that we collectively feel is accessible and does not interfere with emergency routes.”

Float registration is now open for interested groups, businesses and organizations. When registering, provide as many specific details as possible about the float to help the City plan the parade safely and smoothly. Registration is open until Monday, Nov. 2. Only appropriate float submissions will be considered.
