Temporary Service Disruptions at Riverside Park During Power Line Work

The City of Belleville is advising residents of temporary service disruptions at Riverside Park while Hydro One and Elexicon Energy complete power line work in the area.

Work is scheduled to begin Monday, Sept. 14 and is expected to take approximately eight weeks. During this time, power will be unavailable to the Riverside Park washrooms, splash pad and lighting in the pirate ship playground area.

As a result, the washrooms and splash pad will close for the season following Sunday, Sept. 13. A portable toilet will be available near the washroom building for park users during the construction period.

The pirate ship playground will remain open and accessible during daytime hours; however, visitors are reminded that lighting in the playground area will not be available while the work is underway.

The City appreciates residents’ patience and understanding while this work is completed.
