Traffic signal outage at Bridge Street West and Sidney Street following vehicle collision

The City of Belleville is advising residents that the traffic signals at the intersection of Bridge Street West and Sidney Street are currently out following a vehicle collision that occurred last evening.

The intersection is operating as a four-way stop until repairs can be completed. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area if possible and use alternate routes throughout the day to help reduce congestion and delays.

City crews are on site working to restore the traffic signals as quickly as possible.

Drivers travelling through the area are reminded to use caution, follow all posted signage and treat the intersection as a four-way stop while the signals remain out.

Credit goes to the City’s on-duty crews who maintained composure throughout the incident, as well as partners with Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services and Belleville Police Service for their quick and professional response.
