Cooling Centres Open
The Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre and Belleville Public Library are open for those needing relief from the heat.
Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre – Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Belleville Public Library – Open Monday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Sundays through Sept. 6).
City splash pads are also open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit Belleville.ca/SplashPads for locations and Ontario.ca/page/extreme-heat for heat safety tips.
Development Charges Study and Public Meeting
The draft Development Charges Background Study and proposed by-law are now available for review. A statutory public meeting will be held on Monday, July 27 at 4 p.m. in Council Chamber. Review the draft documents and provide your feedback in person or online.
