
Heritage Belleville invites you to get a behind-the-scenes look at some of Belleville’s most well-known landmarks and facilities during Doors Open on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.!
This annual event has taken place since 2002 in association with the Heritage Trust and Doors Open Ontario. All the sites are free to visit, with volunteers ready to provide information and a tour. This year’s locations include:
- Belleville City Hall – 169 Front St. (open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. only)
- Glanmore National Historic Site – 257 Bridge St. East
- Islamic Society of Belleville – 33 Moira St. West
- Belleville Masonic Temple – 132 Foster Ave.
- We Thrive Wellness Centre – 161 Front St.
- Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment Museum – 187 Pinnacle St.
- Parrot Riverfront Trail – Start at 9 Station St.
- Corby Park Rose Garden – 210 Ann St.
- Zone Athletics, Home of Pegasus Cheer – 1989 Old Hwy. 2 (open noon to 4 p.m. only)
- Meyers Creek Brewing Co. – 60 Dundas St. East
- Belleville Fire Station #1 – 60 Bettes St. (open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. only)
- Army Navy Air Force Duke of Edinburgh – 187 Front St.
- Ekort Realty – 258 Front St.
- Mission Thrift Store – 315 Pinnacle St.

“Doors Open is an excellent opportunity to explore the uniqueness of Belleville’s culture and heritage,” said Karen Fisk, Chair of Heritage Belleville. ” This year, attendees can explore 15 beloved local landmarks, including some uniquely adapted heritage buildings in our beautiful downtown.”
A public consultation centre for the City’s Official Plan update will also be held at City Hall during the event. Learn about the history behind City Hall and help shape the future by giving your input on the Official Plan.
