2022 Municipal Election Information
Municipal elections are organized and administered by the Clerk’s office with the next regular municipal election scheduled to be held on Monday, October 24, 2022. Belleville Council has approved the use of internet and telephone alternative voting methods for the 2022 Municipal & School Board Elections.
Anyone can vote in a municipal election who, on the day of the election, is:
- 18 years of age or older;
- a Canadian citizen;
- either a resident of the municipality or a property owner or tenant or the spouse of an owner or tenant in the municipality during a specified time just before the election; and
- not otherwise prohibited from voting.
Your name must be on the voters’ list in order to cast a ballot.
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) provides the preliminary voters’ list to the City before the election.

Register to Vote |
Your name must be on the Voter’s List in order to cast a ballot. The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) provides the preliminary Voter’s List to the City of Belleville before the election. Not sure if you’re on the Voter’s List? Check and update your municipal voter information at voterlookup.ca. You should check the Voter’s List to ensure that your name, address and school support designation are listed correctly. |

When to Vote |
The final day to vote in the 2022 municipal election is Monday, October 24, 2022. You can cast your ballot beginning on October 11, 2022 at 10 a.m. through to October 24, 2022 at 8 p.m. |
Where to Vote |
The 2022 City of Belleville municipal election will only be online and telephone, no paper ballots or tabulators! You will be able to vote with ease from your personal devices; computer, smartphone or tablet. Public computers will also available for use at the Belleville Public Library where there is also free WiFi. |

You can find the ward you live and Vote in by checking our ward map. This information determines which councillor’s you can vote for. This has no impact on where you will vote since all voting will be done online. |
