Accessibility Excellence Awards

The Accessibility Excellence Awards recognize individuals, groups, organizations and businesses in Belleville that go beyond legislated requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.

These awards highlight local leaders who actively remove barriers, promote inclusion and support accessible communities.

Award Categories

Nominations are reviewed by the Accessibility Advisory Committee in the following areas:

  • Built environment
  • Customer service
  • Education
  • Employment
  • Information and communication
  • Transportation

Awards are presented in three categories:

  • Individual or group
  • Not-for-profit
  • For-profit or business
