Rod Bovay is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the City of Belleville. Rod has over 30 years of municipal experience including his role as the Director of Engineering and Development Services for the City of Belleville which he held from 2012 to 2019 before becoming CAO.
Rod has an Honours Degree in Geography from Carleton University with urban and regional planning, public administration and economics as his concentration of study. He furthered his education through the Municipal Administration Program at Loyalist College, affiliated with the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario, and the Economic Development Program at the University of Waterloo. Rod's professional memberships include: Canadian Institute of Planners, Ontario Professional Planners Institute, Economic Developers Association of Canada and Economic Developers Council of Ontario.
