Glanmore National Historic Site to host ‘Quiet Room’ concert experience

The City of Belleville’s Glanmore National Historic Site, part of the Community Services Department, is partnering with two well-known local musicians to offer a unique way to experience the city’s historic house museum. 

Belleville musicians Andy Forgie and Kris Tischbein will bring their Quiet Room concert to Glanmore National Historic Site, 257 Bridge St. East, on Wednesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. 

The intimate performance will take place in Glanmore’s Breakfast Room and will feature Kris Tischbein performing original solo bass works, followed by Andy Forgie showcasing original songs, including selections written for his recording bands Creed and Photograph. The evening will conclude with the two musicians performing a selection of shared musical favourites. 

Tischbein’s solo bass work was featured in the award-winning documentary Strings of Inspiration. Internationally acclaimed bassist Michael Manring has described him as “a true 21st Century artist and a soulful tone poet.” Canadian songwriting legend Tom Cochrane has praised Forgie’s work, noting his “belief that music and a smile can change the way people feel and think.” 

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., giving guests an opportunity to explore the historic site before the performance begins. 

Advance tickets are required as seating is limited. Special event ticket prices are $15 for adults, $12.75 for seniors and $9.75 for children.
