The City of Belleville is currently completing a review of the City’s Transportation Master Plan (TMP). Staff will be hosting two community pop-up events to speak about the project and gain feedback on transportation in Belleville.
- WHAT: TMP Community Pop-Up #1
- WHEN: Friday, June 20 from 4 to 10 p.m.
- WHERE: Downtown at Dusk Event (Downtown Belleville)
- WHAT: TMP Community Pop-Up #2
- WHEN: Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to Noon
- WHERE: Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre, East Entrance (265 Cannifton Rd.)
The TMP was initially prepared in 2014 to guide transportation infrastructure and services in the City through 2034, and provided recommendations for several transportation planning initiatives.
The goal of the review is to provide a status update on the TMP and the City’s progress in implementing its recommendations. Items to be completed as recommended in the TMP include a complete streets policy, roundabout policy, sidewalk strategy, road classifications update and railway crossing assessment.
The project team is now seeking input from residents about transportation in the city. Comments can be submitted in-person at the community pop-up events or through the online survey.
