Work to Begin on McWilliams Bridge

The City of Belleville has contracted Henderson Construction for the replacement of the McWilliams Bridge located on Blessington Road, just east of Forsythe Road.

Planned improvements include the installation of a new precast concrete bridge, as well as new asphalt pavement and steel beam guiderails. These upgrades will ensure a safe and efficient road and transportation system that addresses the needs of residents and businesses.

Construction is anticipated to commence mid-September, and the road will remain closed between Forsythe Road and Bethany Road for the duration of construction. A detour will be put in place and local access for residents will be maintained throughout construction.

This project is expected to be fully completed before the end of 2025.
