The City of Belleville is now seeking feedback from residents on construction upgrades to both the Tom Gavey Alemite Park/Churchill Heights Park and Heritage Park playgrounds.
Funding has been allocated in the City’s 2026 capital budget for new playground installations in the Tom Gavey Alemite Park/Churchill Heights Park area and at Heritage Park. Feedback from the survey will help the City of Belleville learn what community members value most — for example, accessibility, safety, types of play equipment and how easy and enjoyable the spaces are to use.
The public engagement process is now underway to better understand the community's needs and wants for the structure and design elements of the upgrades. Residents and their families are encouraged to complete the survey before Feb. 20 to have their say.
Following the survey, a public meeting will be held where attendees will have the opportunity to vote on their favourite proposal. Details for the meeting will be made available in the coming months.
Those who require accessibility supports to fully participate in the survey are asked to contact communications@belleville.ca so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
