The City’s Parkland and Recreation Master Plan includes a number of recommendations for developing parks and recreational opportunities in Belleville over the next 10 years. The City will be undertaking a number of improvement projects to existing parks and playground facilities over the next several years to fill identified gaps and areas for improvement.
Elgin Park
Located at the southwest corner of Sidney Street and Moria Street West, Elgin Park was identified as a gap in the Parkland and Recreation Master Plan, where a playground would be a welcomed addition to the surrounding community. The park previously had a playground but it was removed over a decade ago and never replaced.
Plans are now underway to replace the playground and we want to hear from you! Be sure to take part in our upcoming engagement opportunities to provide input on the design of the playground.
