FDC Indoor Track

The Family Dental Centre (FDC) Indoor Track is a bright, heated, rubberized indoor walking and running track with three lanes, overlooking the Family Dental Centre Arena. Open seven days a week, it's a great space to stay active year-round.

  • Inside lane: 6.1 laps = 1 kilometre
  • Outside lane: 5.7 laps = 1 kilometre

The track is free to use and welcomes users of all abilities. To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we kindly ask that all users follow the guidelines below.

Guidelines

Accessibility

The track is designed to be welcoming and accessible for everyone. Wheelchairs, walkers and strollers are all welcome, we only ask that wheels be clean before entering the track surface. For safety, children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Footwear and Permitted Use

To help protect the track and ensure everyone's safety, clean indoor athletic shoes are required. Water is welcome in closed, non-glass containers. Stretching is encouraged and may be done in the designated corner areas.

To keep the track clear and comfortable for all users, please note that the following items are not permitted on the track:

  • Food
  • Free weights or exercise equipment
  • Balls or sports equipment
  • Walking sticks or poles with sharp ends

Track Etiquette and Safety

Thank you for helping created a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone:

  • Please walk or run in the posted direction for the day
  • Use the inside lanes and allow faster users to pass
  • Shoulder-check and communicate clearly before stopping, slowing down or changing lanes
  • For safety reasons, standing, sitting or spectating on or around the track is not permitted
  • Please do not spit or litter in the track area

Group and Team Use

Teams are welcome to use the track with a designated team representative present at all times.

Please note: During tournaments, teams and coaches are not permitted on the track.

Noise Levels

As the track overlooks the FDC Arena, noise levels may vary, and music may be playing at times. If noise becomes disruptive, don't hesitate to notify facility staff or visit the Customer Service Desk on the ground level, we are happy to help.
