Preschool, Children and Youth Programs

The City of Belleville offers a variety of programs, services and activities for children and youth of all ages and interests. Programs are designed to support active living, skill development, creativity and community connection in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Available opportunities may include recreation and sport programs, arts, enriched activities, swimming and skating lessons, camps, leadership development and other registered or drop-in activities.

Employment

The City of Belleville hires for a variety of recreation positions from instructors, lifeguards, facility staff and more throughout the year. Stay tuned to the City's employment page regularly for new postings.

Volunteering

Youth aged 14 and older can volunteer at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre and other City services. Volunteering builds leadership, teamwork and community service skills.

  • Youth volunteers (14+) can assist with programs and events at the Centre.
  • Volunteers aged 18 and over need a current Vulnerable Sector Check (within the past three months).

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Program helper roles (children, youth and sports programs)
  • Camp support
  • Skating and aquatics assistance
  • Special event support
  • Other community service roles
