Park Access Permits

City parks are closed to unauthorized vehicles and equipment. If you need to access private property through a City park or green space, you must apply for a Park Access Permit.

Applying for a Permit

Submit a Park Access Permit application at least 14 days before access is required.

Fees and Deposit

  • Permit fee: $100
  • Refundable deposit: $500

A higher deposit may be required if there is potential for damage to park property.

The deposit will be returned once City staff confirm the site has been restored to its original condition.

Application Process

  1. Submit the Park Access Permit application form.
  2. City staff review the request and may schedule a site meeting.
  3. Attend a site meeting if required to review equipment, access routes and safety measures.
  4. Before photos are taken to document the condition of the site.
  5. City staff may inspect the site during the work to ensure permit conditions are followed.
  6. Request a final inspection once work is complete.
  7. The deposit will be returned after the site inspection confirms the area has been restored.
