Belleville's 50+ Centre

Belleville's 50+ Centre, located inside the west entrance of the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, offers a wide range of programs for adults aged 50 and older. These include social activities, arts and games, wellness workshops, and opportunities to stay active, learn new skills and meet new people.

Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.

Membership

An annual membership is available for adults aged 50 and older.

A membership to the 50+ Centre gives you access to social, recreational and cultural programs, workshops and special events throughout the year.

Programs and Activities

Most programs require a current 50+ Centre membership. Programs change regularly. For the latest dates, times and fees, check the online registration system.

  • Walking Group: Instructor-led indoor track walking with social coffee time. Wednesdays and Fridays 1 - 3 p.m.

For additional health and wellness classes (such as yoga or fitness programs for older adults), please check the current activity guide.

  • C.A.R.P: Canadian Association of Retired Persons. 2nd Tuesday of each month 2 - 4 p.m.
  • Cooking with Chef Jesse: Virtual cooking class. 3rd Tuesday of each month 2 - 2:30 p.m.
  • Deaf Seniors: Connection with others from our deaf community. Mondays 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Photography Group: Love taking photos?. Last Thursday of each month 10:30 a.m. to noon.

  • Bid Euchre: Social card play Monday afternoons 1:15 - 4 p.m. Beginners welcome.
  • Bridge (All Levels): Friday afternoons 1 - 4 p.m.
  • Cribbage: Card play for fun and social connection. Tuesday afternoons 1 - 3 p.m. All welcome.
  • Crokinole: Table top game. Fridays 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Drumming Group: Bring your Djembe Drum or borrow one. Tuesday afternoons 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Mah Jongg: Tile game. Wednesday afternoons 1- 4 p.m. Beginners welcome.
  • Scrapbooking: Work on your own projects. Thursday afternoons 1 - 4 p.m. All welcome.
  • Stitches: Work on needlework projects. Wednesdays 9 a.m. to noon. All welcome.

Older Adult Information Fair

Each year we host an Information Fair showcasing programs, services and resources for the older adult community. Save the Date Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026!

Exhibitor applications are now being accepted through to August 9, 2026. Reserve your table today.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers aged 18 and older can support Belleville's 50+ Centre activities. A current Vulnerable Sector Check no older than six months is required. Call 613-966-4632 to learn about volunteer positions.
