Ashley Street Sidewalk |
A Public Consultation Centre will be held as follows to provide information and gather feedback regarding the proposed sidewalk on Ashley Street, Foxboro, north of Ducette Road. A key map outlining the project location is attached for reference.
As no formal presentations will be made, members of the public are encouraged to attend at their convenience. Project staff will be on hand to answer any questions and provide more information. Octavia Street and Henry Street Reconstruction |
A Public Consultation Centre will be held as follows to provide information and gather feedback regarding the Octavia Street and Henry Street Reconstruction, north of Catharine Street and between Octavia Street and Murney Street.
As no formal presentations will be made, members of the public are encouraged to attend at their convenience. Project staff will be on hand to answer any questions and provide more information. Airport Parkway Culvert Replacement |
The Project The Airport Parkway culvert replacement project will replace the existing corrugated steel arch culvert with a new concrete box culvert, new paving and new steel beam guiderails. Construction Impacts A single lane of traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic signals throughout the project, however, there will be two (2) planned weekend road closures to facilitate the use of a crane to install the culvert sections. The weekend road closures will be advertised in advance. Your patience in this matter is appreciated.
The Cost The project budget for this project is $1,350,000.00. This project is partially funded by the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF). The Project Schedule City Council has approved construction funding for this project to proceed in 2025 and a tender has successfully been awarded:

McWilliams Bridge Replacement |
A Public Consultation Centre will be held as follows to provide information and gather feedback regarding the proposed McWilliams Bridge replacement on Blessington Road, 300m east of Forsythe Road. Input is requested on the option to close the road to traffic or maintain a single lane with the use of temporary traffic signals during construction.

Queen Mary Affordable Housing Project |
The City of Belleville has initiated an affordable housing project on a portion of the land at the West Hill Green Space (former Queen Mary School site). The property is envisioned to feature affordable housing units, while maximizing the amount of useable parkland. The project aims to increase the supply of affordable housing units within the City of Belleville to meet the housing needs of current and future residents. An in-person public consultation for this project was held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Prince Charles Public School from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. During the meeting, Staff collected public feedback through discussions, feedback forms and presentation panels. Loyalist (West) Secondary Plan Update |
The Loyalist (West) Secondary Plan provides the framework for the current and future development of the Loyalist (West) Secondary Plan area which encompasses approximately 950 hectares of land located east of Wallbridge Loyalist Road, south of Highway 401 and north of the Bay of Quinte. The second Public Information Centre (PIC) was held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Loyalist College. Bell Boulevard and North Front Street Corridor Study |
The goal of the Corridor Study is to understand the specific needs and opportunities in the study area and give the City direction with its current and future development as a mixed use corridor. This direction will contribute to the overall planning vision for the City and will help Belleville make well-informed decisions related to the future of the Bell Boulevard and North Front Street Corridor. Accessory Dwelling Units Update |
The City of Belleville is undertaking an update to the City’s Zoning By-laws to reflect provincial legislation changes introduced through Bill 23: More Homes Built Faster Act, and will hold two in-person Public Information Centres. Please join us to discuss and provide your feedback on the draft Zoning By-law provisions. Feedback received will help the project team solidify the proposed provisions, which will be presented to Belleville City Council at an upcoming Council meeting. WHAT: Two Public Information Centres for the Accessory Dwelling Units Update To help accommodate the public’s attendance while respecting social distancing protocols, project staff will be hosting two sessions and attendance will be limited to five members of the public in the meeting room at one time. There will be no formal presentations, allowing members of the public to attend at any time during the hours noted for either of the sessions to view the display materials, review the proposed provisions and ask staff questions. Additional comments will be accepted until April 3, 2023. Comments are welcomed by phone, mail, or email.
