Heritage Belleville is inviting all local heritage sites to take part in this year’s Doors Open Belleville event on Saturday, Sept. 7.
Doors Open Belleville is part of the Ontario Heritage Trust’s Doors Open Ontario program – a program which has helped to promote Ontario’s heritage sites since 2002. Each year, Ontario Heritage Trust works with communities across the province to open the doors, gates and courtyards of their unique and most fascinating cultural sites so members of the public can explore the stories inside. Participating locations are determined by their communities and promoted through the Ontario Heritage Trust.
There is no fee to register as a site. All interested organizations/locations are encouraged to review the site responsibilities and complete the online Doors Open Belleville application form before May 30.
"Doors Open Belleville is designed to create access, awareness and excitement about our heritage,” said Heritage Belleville Chair Karen Fisk. “We invite you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to showcase the sometimes hidden and always interesting places and spaces in our area – and it's all free of charge!"
