If you require any information on this page in an alternative format, please contact us. We will work with you to meet your accessibility needs.
Parking in the downtown core is available on-street or in municipal parking lots. All parking downtown is free after 5 p.m. and on weekends and holidays.
On-Street Parking
Free on-street parking is available on Front Street with a maximum of one hour. On-street parking on all other streets downtown is available at a cost of $2 per hour with a maximum of two hours, paid for at individual parking meters.
Municipal Parking Lots
Parking is also available at municipal parking lots downtown at a cost of $2 per hour with a maximum of 9 hours, paid for at pay-and-display parking machines. Please ensure your pay-and-display permit is placed on the dash of your vehicle and is clearly visible. You can also pay for parking at these lots through HotSpot Parking using the zone number displayed on signage in each lot.
Monthly parking permits are available for municipal lots. Visit our Parking Permits page to learn more.
Overnight Parking
Overnight parking is only allowed in specifically marked spaces downtown. There are 10 overnight parking spaces in the North Riverside Lot (located along the fence behind Jim's Pizza) and 8 overnight spaces in the Riggs Lot (located next to the fence in the northern section). All overnight parking spaces are marked with signage of a P in a green circle.
Currently overnight parking in these spaces is free but it must be booked through HotSpot Parking. These spaces can be booked anytime after 5 p.m. each day. View this video from Downtown Belleville to learn how to book overnight parking.
