The Comprehensive Parking Study is now available. Thank you to everyone who took part in our surveys and stakeholder meetings!
The City of Belleville Transportation Master Plan, completed in April 2014, recommended the preparation of a Comprehensive Parking Study. Much has changed since 2014, and emerging trends and new technologies highlighted the need for this study to allow the City to plan for current and future long-term needs.
The City hired Paradigm Transportation Solutions Limited to conduct the study. The Paradigm team started data collection work in February which involved survey staff collecting data on the number of vehicles parked downtown.
The goal of the study was to address the key issue of how the community wishes to manage its valuable parking assets moving forward.
