- Be proactive in meeting our legal accessibility obligations.
- Respond to individual accommodation requests.
- Provide respectful, barrier-free experiences.
- Ensure everyone feels welcome in our facilities and programs.
We continuously review and improve our practices to better serve our community.
Support Options
We recognize that individuals may require additional support to participate fully in recreation programs.
If you require modifications or accommodations to participate in a program, we will work with you to develop an accommodation plan. Those interested are asked to fill out and submit the Accessibility Accommodation Plan Form.
Support persons are admitted free of charge. In some cases, there may be a fee for specific program materials.
Who is a Support Person?
A support person is someone 16 years of age or older who is designated to aid a person with a disability, allowing them to participate in programs where they would otherwise be unable. A Person with a Disability refers to an individual who has a physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment that may impact their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.
