Low Income Senior Property Tax & Water/Wastewater Credit |

Provides a $1,200 property tax credit and a water/wastewater credit of up to $420 ($200 for properties with water service only and no sewer), pending policy approval scheduled for the April 13, 2026 council meeting, to eligible individuals in receipt of the Guaranteed Income Supplement under the Old Age Security Act (Canada) who were 65 years of age or older by Dec. 31, 2025. Applicants must solely own and occupy this property as their principal residence. Eligibility requirements may apply. Deadline for submitting applications is Aug. 31, 2026. Applications must be made on a yearly basis, and can be submitted in person or online through the Senior Rebate Application. Please Note: Applications only become available after council has approved the annual budget each year, up to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 of each year. |

Persons with Disabilities Property Tax & Water/Wastewater Credit |

Applicants must solely own and occupy this property as their principal residence. Eligibility requirements may apply. Deadline for submitting applications is Aug. 31, 2026. Applications must be made on a yearly basis, and can be submitted in person or online through the ODSP Rebate Application. Please Note: Applications only become available after council has approved the annual budget each year, up to 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 of each year. |
| Property Tax Rebates for Eligible Charities |

This program provides a 40% property tax rebate to registered charities that are tenants in Commercial or Industrial class properties. The landlord may be contacted by the charity to provide relevant information required for the City of Belleville application. Please Note: Charity applications are only available between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28 of each year.
