Whether you are moving, selling a property, or updating your account information, we make it easy to manage changes to your municipal water and wastewater account.

Moving In

If you are moving into a property within Belleville, you must set up a new water and wastewater account to ensure billing begins on the correct date.

Both property owners and tenants must complete the appropriate online service application to open a new account.

Setting up an account ensures water and wastewater charges are billed correctly for your property.

Moving Out

If you are selling your property or moving to a new address, you must close your water account.

To close your account, complete the appropriate Account Closure Application based on whether you are an owner or tenant and whether the property is residential or commercial.

Closing your account ensures that:

  • Your account is billed only for the water used during your occupancy
  • Responsibility for the account can be transferred to the next owner or tenant

Other Account Changes

If your account information needs to be updated, you can submit your changes through our Account Change Form.

Common account changes include:

  • Name changes on an account
  • Mailing address updates
  • Contact information updates
  • Ownership changes where tenants remain in the property

Submitting an account change form helps ensure your billing and contact information remain accurate.
