What's Hazardous?
The list below includes a number of commonly accepted household items but is not all-inclusive. Please note: no items with refrigerant or freon will be accepted at the depot.
Household batteries are also accepted at City facilities such as the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Operations Centre at 31 Wallbridge Cres. and City Hall. Please tape the ends (terminals) of all batteries before bringing them in. This is especially important for lithium batteries, which can pose a fire risk if their terminals come into contact with metal or other batteries.
